Magudumana defense lawyer says client is ill, has fainted

JOHANNESBURG - Dr Nandipha Magudumana's lawyer, Machini Motloung, says his client is feeling ill.

She allegedly collapsed in a police holding cell at Bloemfontein's Parkroad Police Station ahead of her court appearance.

Motloung said, "she did faint, I got information actually I should rush to Park Road Police Station. I went there and upon my arrival there I was told to see her through some glass which obviously I found to be unacceptable: you are told that your client has fainted and then refused direct access to see her."

"She is down in the police cells in the basement on the floor."

"The conditions are appalling, it is really a worse form of inhumane conditions."
