WATCH | Gauteng Education MEC gives update on online admission process

JOHANNESBURG - Gauteng Education MEC Matome Chiloane will outline how Grade 1 and 8 pupils will be placed.

The department has received over 768,000 applications.

But spaces are limited at schools and some pupils struggle to be placed.

The BELA Act now means action can be taken against parents or guardians who fail to send children to school.
