JOHANNESBURG - The families of the Life Esidimeni victims are frustrated with the slow pace of the process to hold those responsible to account.
The inquest into the 2016 deaths of over 140 psychiatric patients is underway in the High Court in Pretoria.
Section27 is arguing that three key figures, including the former Gauteng Health MEC, be charged with culpable homicide.
"The families are frustrated by the slowness of this process," said Sasha Stevenson.
"It’s really difficult to hear what happened over and over again.
"This kind of situation should never happen again and for the families that there’s accountability in this case."
