JOHANNESBURG - Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi says he is committed to restore the Johannesburg CBD.
He applauded the municipality for winning a court judgment to reclaim 12 hijacked buildings.

Like other major metros, Joburg continues to grapple with illegal occupation of its properties.
The City of Joburg says as many as 48 of its buildings have been hijacked.
Lesufi, also reinforces his commitment to tackling Gauteng's looming water crisis.
He noted that they have been proactive by hosting meetings and summits to develop strategies to prevent potential water shortages during the critical December period.
Lesufi emphasised the importance of preparedness to ensure stable water access for residents, particularly during the high-demand summer season.
