JOHANNESBURG - Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi wants to see Tembisa Hospital fraudsters behind bars.

He says he's fast-tracking the process to bring them to book.

Six high-ranking officials remain on suspension while three others have either resigned or retired.

It all relates to tenders worth over R850-million at the facility.

It led to the assassination of whistleblower Babita Deokaran in 2021.

"The disciplinary hearing is a minor process, the bigger process is to get the culprits arrested, is to get the culprits assets frozen and get them appear before the judge," Lesufi said.
