Lesufi calls for Ramaphosa to sign Basic Education Law Amendment Bill

CAPE TOWN - Gauteng Premier, Panyaza  Lesufi, has asked President Cyril Ramaphosa, to sign the BELA bill into law now and debate later.

The DA remains opposed to the bill and wants Ramaphosa not to sign it but to send the legislation back to parliament.

The bill proposes the biggest update to education law in the past decade.

 

Lesufi urges president to sign the BELA Bill

In his opening address in parliament, the president outlined ways to help reduce the cost of living for the poor. 

But Lesufi, took it there, crystallising the best way to go about it.
