PRETORIA - The City of Tshwane says it's worried about the apparent high levels of freedom to break laws in the metro.
It claims close to 500 shacks have been erected behind the Erasmia and Sunderland Bridges.
It's been revealed that the stands are being sold for R5,000.
The metro has now opened a case against the alleged mastermind, saying illegal connections are costing them billions.
City officials say they'll be working with law enforcement to pounce on land grab hotspots and evict people to avoid further strain on its water and electricity infrastructure.
