It comes as provincial police take a hard-line against criminals in the province.
The KZN Social Crime Prevention Summit brings together business, traditional leaders and government.
The province has been battling political killings, the construction mafia and taxi violence.
But, police have come under fire for a surge in fatal shootings during operations.
