Justice for Bokgabo | Mawela admits detectives may have erred

JOHANNESBURG - Gauteng's top investigating unit may have made a mistake in the Bokgabo Poo murder case.

Commissioner Elias Mawela says the unit is checking what went wrong.

It comes after the man they arrested for the rape and murder was acquitted.

Mawela says the detectives are still on the case.

"We share the father's concern and devastation, all of us are worried about this one," Mawela said.

"The unit which is investigating this is the pride of the SAPS. Normally they achieve good convictions, we don't know where we went wrong with this one."

Meanwhile, residents of Wattville in Ekurhuleni are demanding justice for Poo.
