The other three accused have abandoned their bid for bail.
The state says it will continue to oppose bail whether or not the accused re-apply.
The case has been postponed to 13 May for further investigation.
Ntabazalila said, "We can confirm that the charges have been withdrawn from accused four at this stage. We must emphasise at this stage."
"Investigating is continuing. Charges may be reinstated. The mother, boyfriend and accused two have abandoned bail. But if they apply bail the state will oppose bail if they apply any other team."
"We don’t know anything of her whereabouts. But the prosecutor did tell the court that there is new info on the little girl."
"Witness and cell phone analysis, that needs to be done. We are opposing bail. Interest of justice to release on bail, for their protection as well. Not in the interest of them being released on bail.”
