JOHANNESBURG - The blame game over the Joburg water crisis continues.
Joburg Water is now pouring responsibility on the Johannesburg City Council.
The utility says it's doing its best to return the system to normality.
"We are not proud of the situation hence we do all we can to bring normality. Council of the City of Joburg oversees the function and business of Johannesburg water, so council takes responsibility of what is happening. It can only be the accounting authority who becomes accountable at the particular situation at a point in time,” says Derrick Kgalwe, Johannesburg Water COO.
Meanwhile, parts of Joburg will be without water this weekend despite the network showing signs of recovery.
Joburg Water says reservoirs remain constrained.
