JOHANNESBURG - The US and Israel are backtracking on numerous statements made since October 7, and this is due to South Africa's case of genocide at the ICJ.
That's according to Justice Minister Ronald Lamola.
Fresh from his visit to the International Court of Justice, Lamola says the SA team has achieved a major objective.
The International Court of Justice has heard arguments from both South Africa and Israel on the Gaza war.
South Africa addressed the UN's highest court on Thursday, seeking to end the mass killing of civilians in Gaza and also accusing Israel of carrying out genocide against Palestinians there.
It's a claim Israel has strongly denied as baseless in their counterargument.
