PRETORIA - Those who had their IDs blocked by the Home Affairs Department are breathing a sigh of relief after the Pretoria High Court ruled the practise unconstitutional.
The department blocked the IDs of hundreds of thousands of people it deemed suspicious and fraudulent leaving them effectively stateless.

The application was brought by Lawyers for Human Rights, the Children's Institute and LegalWise South Africa
