VANDERBIJLPARK, GAUTENG - President Cyril Ramaphosa has paid tribute to the families of those who were killed in the Sharpeville massacre in 1960.
Ramaphosa says the 69 protesters sacrificed their lives so South Africans can enjoy the rights they treasure today.

He was speaking at the official Human Rights Day commemoration event at the George Thabe Stadium, in Sharpeville earlier today.
