Helen Joseph Hospital | Health Department to urgently deal with complaints 

JOHANNESBURG - The Health Department has promised to urgently deal with complaints that have emerged regarding Helen Joseph Hospital.

Over the weekend, former broadcaster Tom London accused staff at the rundown facility of treating patients badly.

The Gauteng Health MEC however defends the service and care provided to London.

It seems not only patients, but also staff agree with London's second charge of the facility being dilapidated and unkept.

The department has undertaken to get to the bottom of the issue.
