JOHANNESBURG - Basic Education Minister Siviwe Gwarube says the issues parties raised with the BELA Act were never constitutional concerns.
Friday is the deadline for President Cyril Ramaphosa to consider changes to clauses four and five of the Act.
Those sections deal with admissions and language policy and the GNU Clearing House is meeting to discuss the legislation soon.
Gwarube says concerns were always around whether the education system is ready to implement the law.
