JOHANNESBURG - Joburg Mayor, Kabelo Gwamanda's future continues to hang in the balance.

Political parties and civil society organisations have been gunning for his head.

The Joburg Crisis Alliance is calling for his resignation and will hold a protest this weekend to express its grievances.

The Alliance says Joburg has worsened under Gwamanda's leadership.
