JOHANNESBURG - Gauteng is having its first sitting this Friday to elect a Premier and other officials.
Justice Dunstan Mlambo says the sitting will inaugurate the new Gauteng Provincial Legislature.
The Sitting is scheduled to consider the swearing in of Members of the Legislature, election of the Premier, Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the Province, election of the Chairpersons and Deputy Chairpersons of Committees, designation of Gauteng Permanent Delegates to the National Council of Provinces and resolution on the Gauteng mandate on the election of the Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson of the NCOP.
