'Good leadership has turned things around in the power utility' - Eskom board chairperson

JOHANNESBURG - Eskom board chairperson, Mteto Nyati says 100 days without power cuts is no fluke.

He asserts that it's down to a change in culture and leadership at the utility. 

Eskom has managed to keep the lights on for more than three consecutive months without rolling blackouts.

There's also been minimal diesel usage with open-gas-cycle turbines.

Nyati says discipline was sorely lacking at Eskom when he became Board Chairperson.
