CAPE TOWN - Forensic pathologists say most of the bodies being pulled out of the rubble in George now are in a state of decomposition.

The death toll from the building collapse is 32 at this stage.

The recovery process continues.

Meanwhile, Construction Education and Training Authority board chairperson, Thabo Masombuka, says the George tragedy would not have happened if investigations into previous similar incidents had been taken seriously.

Masombuka says this is a sad moment in South Africa's construction history.
