Gauteng Education Dept given deadline to probe death of Gr 6 pupil

GA-RANKUWA - The Gauteng Education Department has been given two weeks to find out what led to the death of a Grade 6 Ga-Rankuwa pupil.

Kgosi Maloka from Modiselle Primary School died on Thursday after he reportedly fell from a moving school bus.

The Maloka family wants to understand how their son fell from the scholar transport bus and died.

The family also wants to understand why there were more than fifty pupils on the bus and just the bus driver.

The Gauteng Department of Education says the scholar transport was authorised.

The family has given the department two weeks to come back to the family and explain what happened.
