Fuel price hikes pump up food costs

JOHANNESBURG - A loaf of bread that cost R11.25 cents last month may cost up to R11.50 cents this month. That's according to the Automobile Association.

It says this is the real impact of fuel price increases. The price of 93 unleaded went up by R1.8 cents per litre, while 95 octane rose by R1.14 cents.

Diesel prices have increased by between R1.93 and R1.96.
