BLOEMFONTEIN - A Free State court judge will know next week whether his application for a permanent stay of prosecution has been successful or not.
Proceedings were heard in a motion court in Bloemfontein on Friday.
The applicant -- who is the accused judge -- was not present in court because proceedings were at a motion court.
The accused faces theft charges related to a case in early 2002 where a then six-year-old motor vehicle accident victim was awarded a payout of about R3-million by the Road Accident Fund.
But, just over R100,000 was actually transferred to the client by the accused judge.
