Four suspects killed in police shootout in Milnerton

CAPE TOWN - Four members of an alleged extortion syndicate have been killed in a shootout with police in Milnerton.

Western Cape police tracked them down to the Phoenix area of the town.

Another four suspects were injured in the shootout and are in hospital.

Its understood the eight were on their way to commit a mass shooting when they were apprehended.

Police also recovered five firearms.
