Spaza shop inspections lead to to shutdown
JOHANNESBURG - City officials were out in the streets of Johannesburg inspecting spaza shops for compliance.
This follows President Cyril Ramaphosa’s call for spaza shop owners to register their businesses within 21 days.
The President also announced that tough measures will be implemented to prevent the misuse of hazardous chemicals. A few shops in Johannesburg were shut down on Tuesday.
MMC of Development Planning, Eunice Mgcina, is calling on the community to make sure they remain shut.
