JOHANNESBURG - The former head of engineering at the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa, Daniel Mtimkulu, has been sentenced to 15 years, for fraud and misrepresenting his qualifications.

Mtimkulu was employed as head of engineering between 2010 and 2015, receiving an annual salary of nearly R3-million.
It later transpired that his academic qualifications - which included a diploma, degree, and a doctorate in engineering – were fake.
