Ex-cop who murdered his kids to remain in jail after parole revoked

CAPE TOWN - The Correctional Supervision and Parole Review Board has overruled its decision to grant parole to Marius van der Westhuizen. 

In 2006 the former police officer was convicted of shooting and killing his three children in front of his ex-wife in a fit of jealousy. He'd completed 13 years of his 24-year sentence when he was granted parole, which became effective in July of this year.

His former wife, Charlotte van der Westhuizen, says she is relieved by the news but is terrified that he may be released someday despite the tragic deaths of their three children.
