JOHANNESBURG - Brace yourself for a cold and wet Sunday in most parts of the country.
After going more than 20 days without blackouts, Eskom has implemented Stage 6 power cuts from half past one this morning.
The power utility says this is due to multiple unit trips at Camden Power Stations.
The upgrade follows yesterday’s implementation of Stage 3 power cuts which were said to be due to unit trips a the Majuba and Medupi power stations.
South Africans enjoyed over ten months without power cuts, until now.
Eskom says a media briefing will be held today at 11:00 to provide more details and updates on the power system.
