JOHANNESBURG - A motion of no confidence is set to be tabled against the Ekurhuleni Mayor, Sivuyile Ngodwana, and Speaker of council, Nthabiseng Tshivhenga.
Action SA and the DA say the two have done nothing but further destabilise the affairs of council. Action SA says it will continue to persuade other parties to support the motion.
This comes after the ANC in the region made a U-turn, saying it will no longer support the mayor's removal.
Meanwhile, Ngodwana says he's not shaken by the motion.
