MEC to wrap up 'Queenstown Girls' report by month-end

EAST LONDON - Eastern Cape Education says it's almost completed its investigations into Queenstown Girls High School.

It expects to wrap up its probe by the end of the month.

Parents and pupils made damning allegations of sexual misconduct and systemic racism at the school.

They demanded the axing of a Life Orientation teacher who allegedly had sexual relations with some girls.

MEC Fundile Gade was speaking while visiting school supply warehouses ahead of the 2025 academic year.
