JOHANNESBURG - Lenasia in the South of Joburg owes City Power over a-billion rand.
The utility's officials are in the area cutting off defaulting businesses and homes.
Officials are aiming to recoup at least R20-million on Thursday.
Nelson Ravuku from the Lenasia Service Delivery Centre said, "The amount that today we are owed by these six customers is more than R20 million, in total, Lenasia owes more than R1-billion."
"We are applying level three cut-offs, before we apply level 3 we have to cut you two times, so this is the third time, thatâs why we applying level 3 cut-offs here we are going to remove the cables.â
