CAPE TOWN - Every single day, illegal guns and ammunition are removed from the streets of Cape Town.
But the more police and City law enforcement officers remove, the more guns are replaced.
Since May last year, more than 3,000 firearms have been retrieved in the Western Cape.

A total of 95 percent of those illegal guns were found in the Cape Town metro.
