JOHANNESBURG - The Department of Correctional Services has dismissed media reports suggesting that it admitted that Oscar Pistorius became eligible for parole six months ago.
Pistorius is heading to the Constitutional Court in his latest bid to be released on parole.
He believes the confusion around his sentencing date is standing between him and freedom.
The department further stated that its decision to not oppose his application at the Constitutional Court should not be interpreted as an admission that it mishandled his application.
