CAPE TOWN - Hanover Park residents have expressed their disappointment with policing in the area, despite the Western Cape government saying it's winning the fight against crime
The ANC’s Cameron Dugmore says the Democratic Alliance lacks the political will to fight crime in the Western Cape.
However, Western Cape MEC for Police Oversight and Community Safety, Reagan Allen says the province is making strides in its fight against crime.
Allen says the province is working together with national government to combat crime, but admits more needs to be done.
While the area's Community Policing Forum Chairperson, Weldon Cameron says more boots are needed on the ground to fight crime in Hanover Park.
Cameron says the fight against crime relies on all stakeholders in government.
