Colleen Makhubele joins MK Party

JOHANNESBURG - Former City of Johannesburg speaker Colleen Makhubele has joined the uMkhonto weSizwe Party.

She was previously a member of the Congress of the People (COPE) before leaving to start her own party, the South African Rainbow Alliance (SARA).

Makhubele is joining a string of high-profile political figures who have crossed the floor to join the MK Party.

In recent weeks, former Economic Freedom Fighters deputy president Floyd Shivambu announced he was joining the MK Party.
