Coalitions are not cause for concern for investment - Mogajane

JOHANNESBURG - Government Employees Pension Fund Chairperson Dondo Mogajane says South Africans should not panic about coalitions.

Political parties are currently in discussions about how to form a new government.

The African National Congress (ANC) lost its majority, meaning a coalition government must be formed.

The country's shares and bonds fell as election results came in.

However, Mogajane says no matter which parties are involved in a coalition, the status quo is unlikely to change.

He says parties who come together to form the new government must quickly provide certainty to investors.

Mogajane believes things will turn around in the country.
