JOHANNESBURG - As things stand, there won’t be reprieve for electricity users over City Power’s additional 200-rand service fee.
The power utility slapped this charge on to prepaid consumers on top of the 12-point-seven percent annual increase.
It says it needs the money to continue its work, and is simply doing to prepaid users what it has already done to its post-paid clients.
But residents and some political parties are not pleased.
