JOHANNESBURG - City Power will implement load reduction in several areas from Monday, 10 June because electricity consumption has reached critical levels.
The lack of electricity has been felt for several days in some areas, with reports that the Nelson Mandela Children's Hospital is struggling to keep a consistent electricity supply.
The power cuts in Johannesburg come despite Eskom not implementing rolling blackouts for more than 10 weeks now.
The national utility is still not planning any power cuts.
