DURBAN - A cash-in-transit heist has led to several collisions on the N2 before KwaMashu on Thursday.
About 20 suspects carrying high-calibre rifles opened fire on a vehicle transporting cash near Nandi Drive.
Shots were fired, and explosives were used.
Several collisions occurred when motorists tried to steer clear of the gunfire.
The suspects got away with a large amount of money before police and paramedics arrived on the scene.
This is one of several recent heists in KwaZulu-Natal.
