Zimbabwe cholera outbreak Cholera cases rise in Zimbabwe
HARARE - South Africa and other countries neighboring Zimbabwe are stepping up efforts to combat cholera given an outbreak in that country.
Zimbabwe has declared a state of emergency and there were around 250 suspected cholera deaths last year.
The number of people killed has risen rapidly over the festive season.
South Africa’s health department is concerned there will be a spread of the disease across the border with some Zimbabweans returning to their homes in South Africa.
National Health Spokesperson, Foster Mohale discussed this with eNCA.
