Case of suspected construction mafia members postponed to Monday

CAMPERDOWN - Five alleged construction mafia members appeared at the Camperdown magistrate's court in KwaZulu-Natal.

The case was postponed to Monday.

They were arrested last month for allegedly disrupting the building of a bridge in uMsunduzi.

They face extortion charges and were expected to apply for bail.

Extortionists have been disrupting projects in KwaZulu-Natal, demanding either a stake in projects or protection fees.
