CAPE TOWN - Gauteng municipalities are being asked to implement Level 2 water restrictions in order to reduce water supply by thirty percent.
Residents are asked to restrict watering gardens and washing cars and driveways with hosepipes.
If the water usage is not decreased sufficiently, more stringent measures will be implemented.
Having successfully staved off its own day zero water crisis between 2016 and 2018, City of Cape Town officials are offering support and expertise to those ailing municipalities.
