Cape Town graveyards vandalised

CAPE TOWN - Vandalism and theft at cemeteries in the Cape metro are on the rise and officials say it's a losing battle because as soon as they fix the damage, criminals make off with the new material.

Some cemeteries are occupied by vagrants despite eviction notices filed by authorities.

Families of those who’ve passed are pleading with city officials to do more to secure the sites.
