MTHATHA - The Eastern Cape Transport Department says it is trying to get to the bottom of attacks on buses in the province.
Transport MEC Xolile Nqatha held a meeting with taxi association Santaco and members of the bus industry on Tuesday.
This after a Makhanda High Court ruling in June compelled the National Minister and Transport MEC to work with police to ensure a plan is in place for the safety and security of Intercape bus drivers and passengers.
Bus companies and their commuters are hoping that the roads become safer following Tuesday's meeting.
They hope that they will start enjoying the services that buses offer.
