JOHANNESBURG - It’s exactly two years since the murder of whistleblower Babita Deokaran.
Civil rights groups -- including Corruption Watch, Section 27 and the SA Council of Churches -- will accompany her family to the crime scene where she was killed.
On Tuesday, six men pled guilty to her murder and were sentenced by the High Court in Johannesburg.
They were handed different sentences as per the roles they played.
Sentences ranged from six to 22 years.
Deokaran was gunned down outside her home after flagging hundreds of millions of rand in dodgy payments at Tembisa Hospital.
A memorial service will be held in her honour.
