Auction of Mandela's personal items suspended

JOHANNESBURG - An auction of personal items of former President Nelson Mandela, scheduled for later February has now been suspended.

This after the South African Heritage Resource Agency took the matter to court to interdict the sale.

Items such as Madiba’s ID book and reportedly even his hearing aids were due to go under the hammer.

Mandela's eldest daughter, Makaziwe put the items up for sale.
