JOHANNESBURG - It’s been a marathon session in the constitutional court over the Phala Phala farm scandal affecting President Cyril Ramaphosa.
The EFF and ATM have gone to the Constitutional Court to challenge parliament’s decision not to hold an impeachment inquiry into President Cyril Ramaphosa.
A section 89 panel was established by parliament which found prima facie evidence that the president may have commissioned a serious violation of law after his farm was broken into in 2020 and foreign currency was stolen.

But then MPs chose not to adopt that report in December 2022 and no impeachment inquiry was held.
The EFF and the ATM want the highest court to declare that decision irrational and unlawful.
ATM leader Vuyo Zungula discussed this with eNCA.
