PRETORIA - The High Court in Pretoria has struck Information Regulator's urgent application to stop the publication of matric results in newspapers off the roll.
The high court says there's no evidence of prejudice in publishing the 2024 matric results in the newspapers.
Delivering her verdict, Judge Ronel Tolmay says there was no evidence of complaints from the learners.

The regulator argued that the Department of Education has not obtained consent from all students to publish their personal information and has not responded to an enforcement notice issued late last year.
The Department maintains that a 2022 court ruling permits the publication of results using exam numbers, but not names.
