NGUTHU, KZN - Under siege King Misuzulu kaZwelithini is expected to give an address at the Battle of Isandlwana commemoration in Nquthu, northern KZN.
The commemoration is observed on Wednesday, 22 January aligning with a significant moment in history.
According to history books the date is the same day when the AmaZulu defeated the British in eSandlwana on 22 January 1879.
This year's commemoration is dominated by royal drama, including the pending royal wedding to queen to be Nomzamo Myeni.
At the same time the traditional prime minister's position remains vacant.
This comes after the king axed Reverend Thulasizwe Buthelezi.
Buthelezi was appointed in January, taking the reins left by the late Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi.
