Amaberete deployed to Diepsloot

JOHANNESBURG - The Amaberete have been deployed to curb ongoing crime in Diepsloot.

Police Minister Bheki Cele made the announcement during Operation Shanela.

He says the Tactical Response Teams will work closely with the community.

Diepsloot residents embarked on yet another march against high crime rates on Saturday.

They are blaming poor police visibility and illegal foreigners for the rise in crime.
